An Open and Affirming Congregation

 In 2024, the congregation of Kapa`a United Church of Christ unanimously voted to become an Open and Affirming congregation of the United Church of Christ. This covenant affirms that “lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people (or people of all “sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions”) are welcome in the full life and ministry of our congregation. Through our covenant, this congregation promises to live out that welcome in meaningful ways in response to Christ’s teaching of radical hospitality.
